RSS feeds have been growing in popularity over the last 2 years and with them have come podcasts. Primary Objects has developed a podcast search engine, capable of searching through thousands of podcast feeds. The search spans article feed text in addition to media filenames. Users may freely submit podcast feeds, at which point their feeds will be validated, spidered, and stored in the database for searching. The podcast search engine features interactive user design, real-time searching, favorites, and direct-linked media. The entire feed directory is available in a search engine friendly design, allowing content to be easily searched, parsed, and retrieved. Unlike other podcast directories which are manually administrated (typically with an administrative user verifying feed content for acceptance), the podcast search engine spider automatically determines feed quality for inclusion within the search engine. |
