Custom Jenzabar JICS portlets use C# .NET and provide enhanced functionality to the JICS (Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution) package. A large variety of custom portlets can be created to tie in with your school's portal.

Installing custom functionality allows University portlets to integrate directly with the database, student and faculty data, and IT services. Administrative functionality allows advanced configuration of portlets via the portlet options screen.

The screenshot on the left shows an example of embedding a custom WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) HTML editor within a JICS portlet options screen to allow administrators easy access to displaying custom content.

The example shown on the right integrates with the JICS privacy settings, spanning LDAP and MSSQL. Enhanced functionality is provided to the users and statistical data on portlet usage may be recorded.

A custom JICS student directory portlet allows fellow students to search the online catalog. The customized portlet provides a specific look and feel, required by the University.
