The Alumni Biographical Update Directory project is an AJAX web-based application, designed using C# ASP .NET with an Oracle database to allow alumni to login to the university web site using their student ID and update their biographical information. The system features web 2.0-based technologies through the use of AJAX modal dialogs, contextual prompts, and dynamic data entry. Informational fields include primary contact data, business information, institutional data, spouse data, children data, and demographic collection.

The back-end Oracle database relies on custom-built stored procedures for authenticating alumni, students, and staff.

The Alumni Biographical Update Directory includes a secondary login functionality for administrative purposes and web content management. Log and activity statistics are saved throughout each portion of the biographical update process. The web application is load tested and compatible with all major web browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. Load test capability includes support for over 250 concurrent web connections and the ability to support all required university alumni and faculty accessing the site.
